Today’s topic was customer service. Basically, customer service is the division which receives phone calls from people who have their point of view. That’s only my impression.
I listened to an interview of a person who worked for a famous computer company. He said there were two types of claims. One is real problem, like a computer breaks down. And the other is illusional problem.
What is an illusional problem?
So, there isn’t actually a problem. Usually, they can sort it out themselves if they look into the manual attached to a computer.
I felt sorry for him, because I knew exactly his feeling. I sometimes make manual for my colleagues. Every time I make manuals, I try to improve it and make it easier to understand for everyone. But some of my colleagues always ask me questions without open the manual. I almost always answer their questions with smiling, but I would like to punch on their nose in my heart!!! That is quite Japanese way to solve a problem, isn’t it?
