One of my colleagues asked me to translate a sentence today.
I just explained the image I got from this sentence to her.
Then, I remembered that I had asked a meaning of a word “Better half” the day before from other colleague.
I said “I was asked a meaning of the word Better half yesterday”, as if I talked to myself.

The best translation is one’s best partner.
This word comes from the idea that man/woman naturally has a partner who was destined. At the time this couple gets together, they become a complete self at last.
She, who asked the meaning of a sentence, said “What? Is it a kind of margarine?”
But after a while, I realized that she heard that I said “Butter half”…
Well, it might be low calorie butter.
It sounds quite good for your health.
She was very much good at breaking one’s romantic mood!
