１０月２６日（木曜日）結局４１回目の国連総会投票でも安保理の残る一つの席に納まることが出来なかった両国は、双方一歩も引き下がる気配も無く、今週４２回目の総会投票に臨む見通しです。
Yahoo!Newsラテンアメリカ/カリビアン諸国３５カ国の間でも、ガテマラとベネズエラに代わる新たな安保理（非常任）理事国候補を推す動きに決定的な動きは見られません。一方が推す候補には他方が反対で、決まらない総会投票は、まだまだ続きそうな様子。Latin America fails to break U.N. seat deadlock

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Venezuela and Guatemala failed to break a deadlock on Thursday in their battle for a seat on the
U.N. Security Council, diplomats from both countries said.
The goal is to fill an open Latin American seat on the council, the most powerful U.N. body, following 41 rounds of inconclusive voting and sharp divisions among the 35 Latin American and Caribbean nations.
