8月いっぱい娘の英会話はお休みさせているのですが、私のセルフスタディはまだ半分の地点。イーオンの体験レッスンも終わってしまっていますが、まだまだ週1回のペースでイーオンに通う日々は続きます。

以前、入校してすぐにWebに掲載させてほしいと親子と娘の先生と3人で写真をとったのですが、その写真を今度は町のコミュニティ情報誌の広告で使わせてほしいとお願いされ、いいですよ～と答えました。
ああいう写真ってモデルかと思ってたら、現地調達だったんですね（笑）。

さて、今回は故郷についてのライティングでした。

Unit 3 What’s Your Hometown Famous For?

I was born in Kure, Hiroshima. Hiroshima city is very famous for being the world-class peaceful city but I’m afraid you haven’t heard of Kure. Kure is the third biggest city in Hiroshima prefecture.
Kure is known as a naval port. The naval academy has been here since 1888.
And Kure is popular for being
She was the largest ship ever constructed and a film based on the Yamato and her crew was made a few years ago.
The naval town didn’t have any popular things and sightseeing spots because of military secrecy. But in this peace time, nobody cares about them. Kure city administration constructed Yamato Museum in order to introduce the naval town and shipbuilding.
And now many people visit there. Kure has become a tourist attraction.
I grew up seeing battleships and submarines. So smelling the salty scent always reminds me of my hometown.

famous for や popular forについて。forの後ろに名詞が来ても文法的に間違いではないけど、beingをつけた方がより自然に聞こえるといわれました。
それから、大和について先生は何も知らないとのことで、短い歴史を追加してね、と前回言われていたので、追加しました。

これを1週間かけて覚えて（←実際は昨夜から付け焼刃）今日は先生の前で何も見ずに、故郷について教えて、と言われ、説明します。

書いてることは大したことなくても、これだけの英語をずっと一人で話すってのは結構大変。ということは、英検の2次なんてもっと大変だ！←その前に１次を心配しろって・・・

これが終わったら、Level-3とか勧めてくれないかな・・・。
って、生徒でもないのに、厚かましいか（笑）
