We are embarrassed by the change in the guide line for healthy diet shown by the government or other authorities. The new diet guide lines presented by the US government advisory committee include something different from the previous one.
According to the web news on this guide lines, there is no appreciable relationship between heart disease and how much dietary cholesterol you eat, and the committee doesn't give specific recommendation for how much coresterol-eggs-a person may eat. As for caffeine, there is strong evidence that 3 to 5 cups of coffee a day can be a part of healthy diet, and consistent evidence that it is associated with reduced risk of type 2 diabetes and heart diseases. But it recommends pregnanat women limit caffeine to 2 cups of coffee a day.
The committee recommends eating more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes and nut, while it advices a diet low in red and processed meat. But it says no food groups need to be eliminated completely to improve sustainability outcomes. Someone (North American Meat Institute) criticizes the report, saying the benefit of lean meat should be more emphasized. No added sugar is recommended: its intake should be limited to naturally occurring ones like those in fruit and milk.
