SALT&SUGAR from Victor Entertainment SALT belongs to.

From 1997 , they hold annual concerts called " Saltish Night " around Christmas, inviting various vocalists.
13 songs performed by SALT&SUGAR are selected and included .
As we just see the list, we would be surprised at the wide range of songs they perform.
This album starts with " Diary ", their first original song -and their debut song.
Diary " three times and this performance is the first one.
" Mominoki " (fir tree) is also from their debut album " Concerts ". (See Jun. 8, 2006)
" Love's In Need Of Love Today " is a song included in " Cornerstones 2 ". (See Sep. 28, 2006)
Before the song starts, Chikuzen explains about the lyrics and its story during the intro.
It must be because he intended to notice the message of this song.
This is one of the songs Chikuzen thought of first of all on the day of 9.11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.

They made a release of two albums after 13 years' absence on Aug. 19, 2009 .
But they perform at various stages including " Saltish Night ", so they say they didn't feel that it was such a long blank.
Their live performances seem to be simple, just the piano and song -Chikuzen doesn't play the guitar so often on the stages of SALT&SUGAR.

So we can enjoy their wide range of music.
Besides, Chikuzen says that SALT is not his accompanist; Chikuzen and SALT is an equivalent "duo" .
SALT says that he feels performing with Chikuzen is special for him while he has performed with various singers. (See also Mar. 6, 2009)
