In this April, there was an induction course for new trainees who just graduated from high-schools, and I worked as an assistant and a receptionist. About 20 new workers from several companies took part in having business suits on, but only one of them was in plain clothes. Later, I asked why -and they told me that this new worker didn't have enough money to buy a business suit back then. Half year later, there is a follow-up induction course for some of them, and I'm working as an assistant again. I haven't been told who are coming -but I hope all new workers including this one are doing fine. Now today's main story: Just before I was told to work at this follow-up induction course, I heard news that there are people who cannot afford to buy business suits and cannot go to job interviews. And about a lobbying organization that started a service to rent recruit suits for such people. -If job seekers cannot go to job interviews due to the reason that they don't have business suits, such dress codes set by society would expand income gap
I have a feeling that it should be no problem with just plain-colored blouses and plain-colored skirts, or plain-colored shirts and slacks for male... plain-colored sweaters or cardigans or jackets would be needed in winter...
Of course, there are some kinds of clothes inappropriate for job interviews, such as dirty T-shirts, torn jeans, or flashy and skimpy outfits.
