You might call this an excessive generalization , but I just intend to place an example of smokers' egocentricity I witnessed:
I was having lunch at a small eating house, -this is a smoking place, but fortunately, no one was smoking.
But two madams came in and sat next to me.
They asked a staff whether they could smoke there, and the staff answered yes, and they lit cigarettes.
While they ask staffs for permission, they take no account of other customers!?
Well... for smokers, asking permission for smoking is willy-nilly notification to smoke, isn't it?
That's the very reason I'd like to demand that public places including restaurants should indicate smoking rules clearly so that nonsmokers can distinguish and avoid smoking places BEFORE entering the places.

I cannot get rid of impression that panjandrums are obsessed with creating loopholes of legislation to curb secondhand smoke in public places...
Simply for right to smoke of their own, and tobacco tax -is it OK as an explanation? Are there something else?
I just wish that they always worked seriously like this time.
I don't think this itself is so surprising,
it's nothing new that panjandrums pursue profits of their own, sacrificing and exploiting people, sometimes with our lives.
But this time, this series of arguments is for Olympic game without tobacco smoke.
Not only wellness of people, but also reputation of nation as host country of Olympic game are in the interests.
Do they understand that? Are they going to appeal our country as smokers' heaven, flinging off reputation as a civilized country?
At the same time, considering the current situation in our country, there is a concern that if regulation of smoking is tighten too rapidly, different social problems and crimes can come up.
That's why I'd like to request :

1. What they must crack down on first are street smoking and littering cigarette butts than smoking indoors.
2. If smoking rule is up to each restaurant and hotel and other facilities,
They must indicate their smoking rule clearly so that anyone can distinguish BEFORE stepping into places.
If they are separating smoking areas, they must divide completely.
3. Places to enjoy live performances MUST BE non-smoking UNCONDITIONALLY ,
For the sake of performers, and fans who want to enjoy live performance but don't want to inhale tobacco smoke.

One more thing I came up with for today's composition:
4. Let's spread chowing tobacco
No need to worry about carrying fire, secondhand smoking, burning other people and house.
Smack-smack in public and workplaces is bad manners, spitting out stubs on street and underage use are against the law, just as a reminder.

In the meantime, general public need to be wiser .
I'd like to advice younger generation to be wise enough never to dabble in smoking from the beginning - education is important, especially at home
Some smokers are enraged by wretched situation of politics and quit or reduce smoking so that they don't pay tobacco tax -it's not bad as a motivation.
Some smokers want to stop smoking and know that they should in their heart -then never hesitate to do good, be honest with yourself!
