Every nation's friend may turn out to be no nation's friend

golden week " from the end of April to the beginning of May.
April is the beginning of fiscal year and there are a lot of changes; promotion of school grade, admission to schools, getting into new jobs (or companies), transfers, personnel changes...
Such changes can cause stress, so the consecutive holidays can be a good refresh.
Now today's story:

When we are child -in kindergartens and primary schools- , we are usually taught to make friends with anybody and everybody -how about in other countries?
Surely, children need to cultivate wide range of communication skills:
Good human relations are essential for social life and well-being -no doubt about that.
wide range of communication skills can be confused with being everybody's pet .
Then, many people try to put good faces on everybody and get stressed out.
When I was around ten years old or so, there was a selfish girl with sticky fingers in my neighborhood and I was reluctant to play with her, wondering why Mother forced me to be friends with her.
At high school, I decided to think of school as a place to study and school uniform as a good way to switch my mind like a straightjacket.
As for this, I regret about being too practical, though: School is a place to study, but that's not everything.

After we grow up...
So many workers -especially female than male- seem to have problems about human relationship at work.
This is secondhand information I learned from a psychology book -but if we are troubled by human relations in the office, then we might be oblivious to the purpose we are at work .
Although schools are not only places to study, but companies and places of work are places to work for profits of companies we work for and society
-Me? Ten years ago, I used to try to think of work as work, but ended up in failure due to psychotic depression and since then , I've never worked at typical big companies in our country.
Similar things are true in neighborly ties, hobby groups, ...any other kinds of groups: We should remind ourselves of the purpose we share time and space for the group.
If the problems are sexual harassment, power harassment, bullies and such kinds of outrages against laws and human rights, that is different.

Sometimes, it can be a waste of energy and time to try to force ourselves to be friends with people or countries provoking troubles.
-not only between individuals but also between nations ,
And we must do our best to solve human relation problems -from between individuals to international.
・Why is it necessary to force bullied students to be friends with unrepentant assailants?
So far , adults seem to make it a priority to blame and control assailants.
But it's important to remind victims that they don't have to accept the status of victims so that bullied children can have courage to escape, reject, consult with someone, or even report to the police.
・At the end of last month, I read a news that the number of tourists from our country to the neighboring peninsular country has dropped so rapidly that there are travel agencies in financial difficulties and ask the government for supports.
Isn't it surprising that such thing is so serious problem?
It is a natural outcome and there is nothing to wonder, since there are so frequent disgraceful slander exchanges between two countries
-Although the superficial background is analyzed to be due to weak yen and tensions between northern half and southern half in the peninsular.
As for this, I'd like to introduce a psychological law to the neighboring peninsular country side: Hate and you are hated
-And suggest our country side to refrain from ruining the level of mental discipline by deriving pleasure from others' misfortune
-That's all.
In the first place, while two countries have to cooperate for measure for air-pollution from the neighboring continent country, is it time for abusing fight?
When I mention about international relations on this weblog, it's usually based on theory that individual is an element of the society and world.
