Please excuse me for minor mistakes in grammar and expression. I don't use Twitter and I cannot post messages, soI'd like to place a congratulatory address here on Juno
spacecraft's successful arrival at Jupiter. cf. http://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasas-juno-spacecraft-in-orbit-around-mighty-jupiter
Also, a congratulatory address on one-year anniversary since New Horizons
' Pluto flyby. Now, an artless question: I understand that the purpose of Juno is revealing formation and evolution of Jupiter
. But may I expect some new pictures of Jupiter's moons? Because I didn't know that Jupiter's moons had increased to 67 while I was unaware until I began to read about space exploration again.
As a result, while I was away from space exploration until I heard news thatreached the edge of the Solar System in summer 2012, I missed achievement of Galileo
spacecraft and beginning of Cassini-Huygens
mission. Also, failure of Nozomi
unable to reach Mars and ended up in artificial planet, and long road to success of Hayabusa
by our country. But I came back last spring, andI foundthat now it's far easier to read website of NASA
and ESA
Besides, library of motion pictures is substantial. Since then, I obligate myself to read and watch about space exploration in English which specialized agencies provide directly -But some articles are too difficult to read without Japanese explanation. And it's luckyI didn't miss Pluto explorationby New Horizons spacecraft, and Cassini and Rosetta
I was gladwhen I saw news about Akatsuki
working around Venus on website of NASA. And...when I sawthis picture on website of Cassini-Huygens
mission, I thought that if the toy of Cassini spacecraft in this picture were actually sold, I would want one -or maybe I'd rather want Voyager and Juno if such toys were sold. As I typed this manuscript to place today, I recalled thatJuly 9
Voyager 2
made a closest approach to Jupiter in1979
-Keep going, deserving the name!
cf. http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/fastfacts.html
I don't know whether I can take part in JunoCam community -or I've never thought of that, so I'm looking forward to discoveries by Juno. Also, good luck on Dawn
and New Horizons spacecraft on extended mission!
