当初の予定よりも遅れ気味の状況にやきもきしているファンへの回答です。

Thanks gentlemen, but I don't need any more 'provoking' than I already get from all quarters.
In my last post, I promised that I would update you about UKZ soon, so here it is:

First of all, this band IS happening - perhaps not as quickly as everyone would like, but I am fully committed to building all of the required elements for a solid recording and performing contemporary rock band.

There are many sides to this.
I am slowly building a business structure to support the project, including a new label with worldwide distribution; legal setup including riders and carnets; equipment setup including a state-of-the-art keyboard rig, in-ear monitor system, and wireless violin rig; new online store for digital downloads (as well as arrangements with iTunes etc.); the website (in three languages); all of the design elements including logos, the EP and album covers, press materials, even merchandise; and of course, the most important element, the sound and music of the band.

どうやらエディ自身がバンドをプロモートするための全ての企画を進めておいる様子。


All of this is being built from scratch, and it is not easy.
However, apart from the album, almost everything mentioned above has been completed.
I now know how five diverse musicians from different cities can work together to create the sound of UKZ - a big achievement in itself.

ただ楽曲の完成が遅れていることは否めないようです。


And if that wasn't enough, we have been videotaping all of the performances in our respective studios so I am able to create a 'live' video of every song - including all of the improvised solos, as they are being recorded.
In the next few weeks (I can't quite say when) I plan to post a full-length video on YouTube of the first song "Radiation."

全ての楽曲のライブビデオを作る予定だそうで、数週間後にはファーストソング「Radiation」をYouTubeにアップするとのことです。


The band will actually meet in July!
To get over the hump of returning to the stage (after more than twenty years away), I am looking into a possible "live rehearsal" somewhere in the most obscure part of the world we can find.
If we do it, this will NOT be the official debut concert of UKZ (no VIP packages or meet-n-greets), just a quick 30-minute dry run through some of the material - in a very out-of-the-way place.

そして7月にはバンドメンバーがスタジオに集結してリハーサルを開始。


The UKZ website is being kept as current as possible; the June news - which covers the previous two paragraphs - has been written for several weeks (and translated into Chinese and Russian), and will be posted in the next couple of days.
