結婚と同時に仕事は辞めてしまいましたが、
子どもを持っても、女性がずっと仕事を続けている家庭では、
こんな会話があちこちで起こっているのでしょうね。。。

leave [ （公式な）休暇の許可
=time that you are allowed to spend away from work because you have had a baby, because you are ill, or because of a personal problem such as the death of a relative
adamant [ 頑固な、譲らない
=determined not to change your opinion or a decision that you have made
child rearing [ 育児 rear [ 子どもを育てる、築く
=to look after a person or animal until they are fully grown [= raise]:
＊他動詞のrearの用法は以前覚えたような気がしますが、すっかり忘れてました。
househusband [ 主夫
＊househusband はhousewifeと対で、プラスの意味ではなく、
最近では使うことが少なくなってきた。
私はI have a partｰtime job.と言うこともありますが、
ほとんどI'm housewifeと言ってますが・・・
ditto
=used to say that you have exactly the same opinion as someone else
このdittoは以前「徹底トレーニング英会話」でやったと思って、
英語お勉強仲間のるっちさんのブログで検索してみたらありました。
2006年9月12日 でした。
＊レストランで、誰かの注文したものと同じものを自分も注文したい場合、
you say, "Ditto for me." and the waiter will understand exactly what you mean .

=having energy and determination - used to show approval:
recluse [ 隠遁者、世捨て人
=someone who chooses to live alone, and does not like seeing or talking to other people
matchmaker [ 仲人
=someone who tries to find a suitable partner for someone else to marry
