今年１年を振り返る新聞記事やテレビ番組が多いが、最も目につくのはアベノミクスの効果だ。マスコミは例によって、今の景気は金融緩和と公共事業によるもので、本物ではない、長くは続かないというネガチブな論調が多い。しかし長期間の不調で、日本経済の成長は望めないと皆が思っていたのに、安倍さんのお蔭で、一時的かも知れないが、円安になり、株価が上がり、消費が増え、暮れのボーナスも増えた会社が多い。

これらの結果はやはり円安の効果によるところが最も大きいと思う。今になってみると、これがどうしてこれまで出来なかったのか、またもっと金融緩和をすべきだという意見がなかったのか、素人の私には不思議でならない。アメリカも中国も自国の通貨安の政策をとってきたのに。

国の運命が政治家によって左右されることを始めて実感した気がする。これまで、政治は誰がやっても同じだ、自分の生活には関係ないと思って選挙にも無関心だったが、これからは少し熱心になれそうだ。

Among newspaper articles and TV programs reporting the biggest news of the year 2013, abenomics is on the top of the lineup. Media gives harsh comments on this policy, saying it will not last long because it is temporary results due to monetary easying and public work spending. But our econmy is unexpectedly picking up thanks to abenomics after long stagnation. Now the value of yen dropped, stock price soared, consumption increased and many companies gave more bonus to their workers.

Apparently these positive aspects of our economy are brought by lowered value of yen. It is strange to me that this cheap yen policy had not been adopted seriously by any politicians for long time while United State and China lowered the value of their currency immediately after Lehman Shock. 

I realized for the first time that our lives were influenced strongly by politicians. I was not much interested in election so far, but will be more cautious about whom I vote in next election.
