デンマークは難民受け入れゼロの政策をかかげ、既存の難民についてはその数を減らす方針を決定しているという。それに従って、シリアからの難民1000人に対してビザを延長しないことを決めており、そのためこの国に長く住んでいるシリア人は自分たちの将来に不安を感じている。それにもかかわらず、ウクライナからは4万人の避難民を受け入れ、さらにもっと受け入れる方針を示している。これには他の国からダブルスタンダードではないかと非難されている。デンマーク政府の責任者は、シリアはもう危険な国ではないので帰国するべきである、我が国は小国で多くの難民を受け入れることはできないので、ヨーロッパの難民を優先し、シリア人は中東の国が受け入れるべきだと主張している。
日本でも数は少ないが、ウクライナの難民を受け入れており、その待遇や条件が他の国からの難民に比べて優遇していると報じられていた。日本の難民受け入れについては関心を持っていなかったが、民族によって扱いが異なるダブルスタンダードでないことを望んでいる。

The country already plans to revoke the visas of 1,000 Syrian refugees. On the other hand it has accepted 40,000 Ukrainian refugees and plans to accommodate more. Other countries blame Denmark for such double standard policy. Its government officer claims that Syria is no more dangerous and Syrian refugees should go back to their country. He also says that Denmark is a country too small to accept many refugees, so it has to prioritizes European refugees and Middle Eastern countries should take care of Syrian refugees.
Japan also accepts small number of Ukrainian refugees, and there is a criticism that they are treated better than other refugees. I hope Japanese government is fair and takes equal care of all refugees.
