既に知られていることですが、余りにも基本的なので、確認して置きたい。点を通って傾きｍの方程式は、 点を 通って ｙ軸に平行な直線を表せませんから、ｍを割った表現の方が優れていると言えます。その表現ならｍがゼロのとき、ゼロ除算で ｙ軸に平行な直線をあらわせるからです。しかし、これらの表示では、直線が原点を 何時でも通っている、直線は、原点を含むことが見えません。
そのような時は、直線上にない点をとって、それを極として、極座標表示すると ゼロ除算算法で、直線のコンパクト化の理想点が 原点で表されることが見えます。これはユークリッドの世界でも、アリストテレスの世界観とも違った、新しい空間です。 これが、我々の空間と言える。 我々の空間の考え方は、間違っていると言える。
