A horse made of cucumber and a cow made of eggplant placed in front of the entrance. Cat people's children dressed in kimono greet the spirits of their ancestors. 
（玄関前に置かれたキュウリの馬とナスの牛。先祖の霊を迎える着物姿の猫族の子供たち）

Dinner in the hall of an old Japanese house. A family of cat people in kimono are having a banquet with their relatives. A Buddhist altar to welcome the spirits of ancestors is decorated for Obon. 
（古い日本家屋の広間での夕食。着物姿の猫一家が親戚と宴会をしている。お盆に飾られる、先祖の霊を迎える仏壇）

A butsudan in the hall of an old Japanese house. Incense burning in front of the altar. Stern Obon decorations, white lanterns, bouquets of chrysanthemums, a meal for the spirits served on lotus leaves. 
（古い日本家屋の広間の仏壇。仏壇の前で焚かれる線香。厳かなお盆の飾り、白い提灯、菊の花束、蓮の葉に盛られた精霊のための食事）
