Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ( Hebrews 12:2)
This is one of famous verses from bible, but I learned a new thing from this verse. What is the joy for us?
Then, what is the Joy that God is saying? God even says " Be joyful always!" in Galatians. When we look back Hebrews 12:2 now again, we figure out how deep Joy's meaning is.
Jesus was on the cross. He was naked. His whole body was in pain because of a lot f needles. He was completely pure and had not have any sin. However, he said he had joy in this circumstance.
I do not think I can find any joy if I were him. Of course, I do not think God require us to be like Jesus completely; otherwise, he would not let him die on the cross for our sin. However, this reminds me if my recent experiences or desire are to be happy or joyful? If my desire comes from God, everything will turn into joy. It might look very hard to achieve on my eyes, but he will open the door and the path will be toward joy!
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ( Revelation3:21--22)
