I wish the Nitro was still available. My lease is finishing on mine, and there is not another SUV I like as much. I guess I can buy this one, but I wanted something new. The Nitro has a beefy but sophisticated appearance. It does not try to be all sleek with a sloped roof, nor does it attempt to...

Unlike other reviews, I am far from impressed with the Nitro. It is slow, really slow. I have driven four-cylinder vehicles that had faster acceleration than this V6. Plus, fuel economy is horrible, if the SUV is going to guzzle gas, you would think it would at least offer more power. It does handle well and it is quiet,...

Although I only have the 2 wheel drive I still feel this vehicle is perfect and has plenty of power! The room in it is great for everyone. There is leg room for all the passengers. I love the fact I have the stbility control package to help in bad weather conditions. very safe vehicle...

This awesome ride makes me look like a million bucks to my friends! Because of how GREAT it looks and rides they all think I paid a fortune for it! The gas mileage is good and I love the 5th seat just in case we have extra passenger (like my German Shepard) lol ...

Super SUV! I adore my Dodge Nitro. This is the most amazing looking vehicle from the interior to the exterior, and it handles so good. I live in some pretty tough climate and weather conditions, plus I play hard, so I can honestly say the reliability and safety features on this baby is impeccable. This is one of those must...

My 2007 Nitro has 38,000 miles and I get 15.5 miles per gallon combined with the 3.7 L engine. The 4WD is great and drives smooth. I recommend the 4.0 L engine for better performance and gas mileage and plan to buy a newer model this year....

I like the rest of you have purchased a nitro its a 2011 and a piece of crap. I am flat out getting 450 km to a tank of fuel. its underpowered and dies going up hills, and as for towing you might as well mark out fuel stops every 250 km, after six hours or so in the...

I'm having problems with the brakes hanging up while driving. On the way back from a 130 mile trip the right rear wheel well started spewing smoke. After pulling over I discovered the actual side wall of the tire was extremely hot and the rim was blistering hot. The cause was blamed on the parking brake which the mechanic disabled...

I live in Scotland and have a 2.8 common rail diesel SXT Nitro. Delighted with the car as it has every extra imaginable and can actually achieve just over 40 mpg when on cruise control at aroung 50 to 60 mph ( 32 mpg on a US gallon) The diesel also has more torque than the petrol units. A good...

I bought a 2008 dodge nitro only 30 days ago and just yesterday traded it in. The fuel mileage was disgusting. Never seen anything so hard on gas! I purchased a brand new 2011 jeep compass, and although i lost on trading in so soon after buying , i will save in the long run. Although it...

Gas mileage is horrible. Im lucky to get 15 mpg combined hwy. and city. I would of just kept my suburban if I would of known about this horrible fuel economy. My suburban would average 14, but could tow and haul 3 times as much as the nitro with more comfortable ride....

I agree with Kurt in the above review. My Nitro has no problem accelerating to 60mph in way less than 9.5 seconds. Further, who ever wrote the SUV online review about the Nitro obviously has not driven one. Mine handles like a dream. I do not understand why the reviewer states "that the Nitro lacks good...

My Nitro Shock has 265 HP with 285 FPT. I bought it with 8 miles on it and added a performance exhaust and a short ram cold air intake and I now have 285 HP with 310 FPT. I have NO idea who wrote the previous review I read and stated a FULL 9.5 seconds to 60 MPH. I would...

Still own my 2007. I travel from North Carolina to Jersey each month. I have about 135,000 miles and hope to get 200,000. I rock my Nitro at 70-90 mph up down and around the mountains of Virginia,W. Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She handles well and gets reasonable highway mileage. I came to this site to make sure they're making a...

Had a 2007 Nitro and loved it! Handled great. Not the best on gas but didn't buy it for that. Bought it for the four wheel drive. And loved the flat dash! Lots of get up n go. Run off the road yesterday, hit gravel, rolled it, flipped it, tore it all to pieces! Got out with only bruises! All...

I don't know why people here are complaining about GAS. Read before you buy. If you can't afford the gas go and purchase something else....like a hybrid car. If you can't afford it don't buy it. I love my Nitro!...
