Aston Martin's DB9 is crafted from VH structure bonded aluminum, with composite and aluminum body panels. The extruded aluminum doors of the DB9 have side crash impact beams. The halogen projector headlights provide the main beams of light, and the headlights discharge high intensity dipped beams of light. The rear lamps are clear LED's.

The rear wheel drive DB9's engine is a front mid mounted 48 valve quad overhead all alloy camshaft with a 5.9L V12. The DB9's exhaust system is stainless steel and fully catalyzed with bypass valves (active). The DB9 by Aston Martin has a 10.9:1 compression ratio.

The front brakes are steel grooved and ventilated discs with monobloc four piston calipers. The rear brakes of the DB9 are steel ventilated and grooved discs with four piston monobloc calipers. The safe and sporty DB9 also comes standard with the Dynamic Stabilization Control (DSC), an anti locking brake system (ABS), emergency braking assistance (EBA), (TC) traction control, and (EBD) Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.
