People do not buy the Aston Martin V8 Vantage convertible because of practicality or performance. There are certainly other vehicles on the market that can provide both. Instead, this car is chosen based on pure and simple attraction. Inside and out, this vehicle offers a look and style that is virtually second to none. Keeping with the expectations of the Aston Martin name, the V8 Vantage Convertible offers a luxury that is not found in just any vehicle. Owners can expect to turn heads regardless of where they are driving and for many of them that is worth the steep price tag that comes with it.

The cabin of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible defines luxury with its leather upholstery and easy to use control panel. Aston Martin has a strong reputation for beauty and style in their vehicles and the V8 Vantage convertible is no exception. Owners will find that the inside of the vehicle bears a close resemblance to other vehicles from Aston Martin. The down side of the interior is that some of the more common features on cars in this price range are only optional. That could leave owners disappointed in not having the absolute best of the best for the cost.

What the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible boasts in appearance, it lacks in performance. While the ride is not necessarily boring, there are other vehicles of similar cost that can provide a more thrilling ride. Owners will find the drive comfortable and fun, but it simply doesn't handle the roads in the same way the competitors might. Acceleration is slower in comparison and the handling itself is simply not as smooth and exciting. It does, however, function well for those that need a daily driver that outshines most of today's vehicles.

When looking at practicality the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible loses more points. The cabin, designed for only two people, can offer a more cramped feel than other cars in this class. The lack of a rear seat makes it a bad choice for many who have more than two people to transport at any given time. Ample cargo space does give it a boost for those who like to travel in style. Chances are that anyone steering towards the V8 Vantage Convertible is looking more for stylish options than practical ones and this vehicle definitely measures up.

Each Aston Martin Vantage V8 Convertible comes with a 4.7 liter 420 horsepower V8 engine, with the exception of the Vantage S trim. That engine is upgraded to 430 horsepower. The standard transmission on the Vantage V8 is a six speed manual, but owners can opt for a seven speed automated manual with single clutch if they like. This combination offers the chance for the high power that many people are looking for in a pricey roadster convertible. The gas mileage for the V8 Vantage is on par with other roadsters. It gets anywhere from 13 mpg city/19 mpg highway to 14 city and 21 highway depending on the engine. It includes plenty of safety features standard and several more that are optional.
