Ferrari Coupe Reviews

Ferrari, one of the most successful sports car companies around the globe, has always been known for its sporty convertible and coupe models since the company's auto production began in 1947. Unlike many sports car companies, Italian brand Ferrari continues to thrive after the death of its founder and its Fiat ownership. Some of the most famous Ferrari coupe models include the 1985 Testcross Ferrari, the Ferrari 250 GTO, the Ferrari 500 Superfast, and the Ferrari Enzo. Ferrari has several coupe and convertible models currently for sale. Some of newest coupe models include the 2011 Ferrari 599, the 2011 599 GTO, the 2012 Ferrari FF, and the Ferrari 458 Italia.

The 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia is somewhat the new kid on the block as far as Ferrari cars are concerned. It launched in the 2010 model year and is available as a convertible (called the Spider) or a coupe. This stylish convertible is certainly one of the most aesthetically-pleasing models you'll ever see, if you're lucky enough to view it in-person. The sleek exterior and finely-crafted cabin are nearly unmatched, and the 4.5-liter 570 horsepower engine is certainly hard to compete with. The base model has a starting price around $225,000 and achieves 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The Spider (Convertible) version's starting price is slightly higher. The 458 competes with such brands as Lamborghini and Aston Martin. Technology features include full electric seats, Bluetooth integration, iPod input, and stability and traction control.

The 2012 Ferrari FF hatchback coupe has a unique style all its own, along with a ton of power to impress any driver. (Think a V-12 engine that produces 651 horsepower). It comes equipped with AWD and has a starting price of $298,750. The FF's steering is accurate and quick and its handling is neutral. Though it's a bigger coupe, it drives like a much smaller Ferrari.

The 2011 Ferrari 599 coupe has a starting price of $320,580 and is Ferrari's most recent RWD, front-engine, twelve-cylinder luxury sports car. The 599 shares a chassis with the 612 Scalietti and has a light aluminum construction. This coupe gets 11 mpg in the city and 15 mpg on the highway and comes in GTV Fiorano F1 and GTO variants. The GTO has a starting price of $410,00, and both models come standard with stability and traction control, as well as an alarm system and Xenon headlights. The Ferrari 599 coupe competes with such vehicles as the Lamborghini Murceielago LP640 coupe and the 2011 Aston Martin DBS base coupe. (Both of which have a lower asking price than the GTO, but compete more heavily with the standard coupe). The 599 GTO is known as Ferrari's fastest road car to-date, with a lap time of only 1.24 minutes at Fiorano. The GTO is based on the Ferrari 599XX and features a Vehicle Dynamics and Driver-Car Interface, a thin, aluminum body shell, and an aerodynamically designed frame. It achieves zero-to-sixty in 3.35 seconds and zero-to-124 mpg in 9.8 seconds.
