The Lincoln MKZ Sedan is offered in two slightly dissimilar trims: Hybrid and V6 base. With the difference of their powertrains, one being hybrid, there is little disparity between the two models (although the Hybrid isn't available with a Sport Appearance package.) They have the same features, from their 17 inch wheels to their USB connectivity. The MKZ comes equipped with foglights, keyless entry with keypad on the door, telescoping tilting steering wheel, rear parking sensors, sumptuous leather upholstery, automatic climate control dual-zone, cruise control, 8 way power adjustable seats with heating/ventilation, driver seat memory, Ford's SYNC system, automatically dimming driver's and rear view mirrors and all power accessories.

Such optional features available for the Lincoln MKZ Sedan are the Navigation system one should find in any luxury vehicle, as well as a rear-view camera, digital music memory, HD radio and Sirius Travel Link. Further options include a blind spot warning system, adaptive xenon headlights, 17 inch chrome wheels, a sun-roof, rain sensing windshield wipers and ambient lighting. The Sport package offers drivers 18 inch polished alloy wheels, interior trim of aluminum, darkened exterior trim and small, minute details like seat piping in contrasting colors. And if you're in the mood for upgraded, even softer and more extravagant leather interior along with a distinguished real wood interior trim in your Lincoln MKZ Sedan, you can always opt for the Executive package.

Essentially, the Lincoln MKZ Sedan is too high-class to be a mainstream sedan, but not extravagant enough to fully compete in the 'luxury' category. Despite various upgrades, tweaks and gadgets, the MKZ basically reminds drivers a little too closely of its cousin, the Ford Fusion. It just doesn't seem to carry enough style, polish, or pizzazz to really qualify as a mid-size luxury sedan, and comes out looking like the plain-Jane cousin when compared to Lexus, BMW, Audi or even Cadillac's CTS and Hyundai's Genesis.

If you're looking for a full-out luxury sedan that brings to the table an interior comfort and suspension that exemplify luxury without sacrificing responsive, incredible performance, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. Even with the Sport Appearance package offering more performance at the detriment of a softly sprung suspension, the Lincoln MKZ Sedan just doesn't give drivers the feeling they're driving anything more than a typical sedan, albeit top of its class. However, if you're a huge fan of the Ford Fusion, and just wish it offered more in the way of luxury features and high-tech devices, as well as a more dashing appearance, the MKZ is probably exactly what you're looking for.
