Lotus really stole the show at the 2010 Paris Motor Show as they revealed the concept designs for several of their new models scheduled to hit the market within the next few years. The new look of the Lotus Elise Sports Coupe scheduled to hit the market in 2015 really caught the eye of the media and sports car enthusiasts. The car has been completely redesigned compared to the current model. If you look closely it still shows slight resemblance to the current Elise design but with a major focus on the improvement of performance, efficiency and handling it can almost be categorized as a completely new model.

For years the Lotus Elise has been known to be barely making a profit and it was only a matter of time before Lotus made some strategic decisions for improvement to the car. With the innovative engineering Lotus is recognized with it will be interesting to see consumer responses to the new Elise design once it hits the market. CEO of Lotus Group Dany Bahar says "We have worked hard perfecting this car and driving it portrays how the Lotus driving experience is one of luxury and performance."

The 2015 Lotus Elise is rumored to have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood that will deliver 320 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. However, there is not hints suggested that it will be a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that will accelerate zero to 60 mph in a quick 4.3 seconds. Of course, with its hybrid technology and start/stop petrol engine, one is granted power and superb fuel economy. Whichever engine ends up under the hood, it is said that top speed will be 167 mph. Also, this rear-wheel drive vehicle features a six-speed manual transmission standard, but DCT is optional.

The styling of the 2015 Lotus Elise is easily what will attract most people. Even if the engine was less than par, fuel-economy turned out to be mediocre and safety features were lacking, consumers would still be drawn to this vehicle; that is how attractive it is. The body is muscular yet elegant and incredibly sleek and aerodynamic. Its low-profile just looks fun to drive and the eye-catching wheels with grab attention as they roll on by. When you look at this vehicle, it is easy to assume that this is one that would cost a small fortune, but MSRP is starting at just $55,000, which makes the car even more intriguing than it already was!
