The 2011 Lotus Evora sports coupe is a unique selection among sports cars; it provides a large package in a compact design. The sleek exterior design in the 2011 model is compressed enough to allow for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. Yet the interior has enough room to keep four passengers comfortable for the long road ahead. Innovative security features have been integrated throughout the car to keep passengers safe and secure. Plenty of additional features are also available that allow each owner to add their own personal touch to their Lotus Evora sports coupe.

The exterior of the 2011 Lotus Evora maintains a stylish, modern look that is consistent with many other sports coupes. The overall body style contains features that are consistent with both sports and luxury cars. The aerodynamic design allows the vehicle to achieve greater speeds more efficiently. The compact body style and performance tires facilitate excellent handling, even during inclement weather. However, the small rear window will limit the driver's ability to see behind the car.

Although the Lotus Evora's engine will not classify the vehicle as a supercar, it does offer a great combination of horse power, fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The 3.5L V6 engine generates a total of 276HP. Still, the car gets 27 MPG on the highway and only releases 210 g/km of emissions. The car can get from 0 - 60 in less than 5 seconds and can top 160 MPH. Due to the Lotus Evora's compact design, the engine does provide an unfavorable ratio between the front and rear weight distribution.

The interior provides an astonishing amount of room and features despite its compact size. Passengers in both the front and back will find plenty of room to relax. The leather-trimmed seats are easily adjusted to accommodate individuals of all sizes. But even having plenty of room can only go so far in providing a comfortable road trip. That's why the specially designed sports seats can be heated or cooled to the passenger's preference. Still, taller individuals may feel less comfortable, especially in the back seats.

Overall, the 2011 Lotus Evora received a 3.5 rating out of a total of 5. The coupe's engine and drive train received a 3.5, which is 0.5 higher than the rating for the car's total value. Despite the several safety features offered, one crucial lack on the Lotus' part only merited a safety score of 2.5. Behind the wheel scored a little better at 4.0.

The technology featured within the 2011 model enhances the experience even further. Various 12v sockets are provided to ensure that mobile phones, laptops and other portable devices remain charged and ready to use. The windows are all electric, allowing easy control over the air flow. The stylish dashboard also features some enhancements for the driver. This includes a leather-trimmed steering wheel and a small command centre complete with a high-resolution display. If the driver needs to fit inside of a tight space, a simple switch will allow them to fold the mirrors in electronically.

Safety may be a hard necessity to find in a sports coupe, but the Lotus Evora is, for the most part, an exception. A crash box is built into the front of each car and will absorb most of the impact from a collision, reducing the chance of any passenger injury. The materials used during the engineering of each Lotus Evora facilitate a light weight without compromising the maximum safety possible in a sports coupe. The techniques used to integrate these materials into the frame of the vehicle ensure a structurally sound design that will minimize the impact caused by a collision. Extensive tests are conducted to ensure that these safety features exceed international expectations. Still, the safety measures provided during a side impact are still lower than many enthusiasts may expect.
