More Used Maserati Sedan Reviews / All Maserati Cars

Maserati's Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan joins this 100-year old carmaker's long line of sleek, sophisticated vehicles. Since this vehicle's debut in 2004, Maserti has done little to keep up with its competition, yet the Quattroporte is one of the most expensive sedans on the market. With a V8, 4.7L engine and improved suspension, the Quattroporte delivers a smooth ride with enough space for five adults. Although the Quattroporte is a sedan, it still has features of a sportier vehicle, including an aerodynamic design and lower center of gravity. Maserati offers many options to make the interior of the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan even more luxurious; however, the technological features of the car are average compared to other sedans. Still, this vehicle strikes an impressive balance between elegance and sportiness, a feat few car manufacturers can achieve.

Because of the powerful engine in the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan, this car can easily accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 5.1 seconds and reach speeds of 177 MPH. This Maserati includes a racing-style suspension, which gives this Quattroporte tighter, more responsive handling. The 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission offers drivers the option to operate the vehicle in either manual or automatic modes and gives the driver more control in adapting to varying road conditions. Because the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan has a V8, 433 horsepower engine that is placed just behind the front axle, it distributes slightly more of the car's weight toward the back end of the car, thus offering a more robust ride. The improved suspension system means this sedan offers better traction control and an enhanced shock system. In terms of fuel economy, this Maserati is comparable with other sedans at 12 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway.

Inspired by the original Quattroporte from the 1960's when sedans were a rarity on narrow, Italian roads, the Sport GT S Sedan includes modern features with the same attention to detail characteristic of all Maserati vehicles. Compared to other sedans, the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan offers a spacious trunk (16 cubic feet) and accommodates five adults, though the rear seats are more akin to bucket seats than a bench seat, so for longer trips, this sedan is better suited to four adults. Compared to Jaguar's XJ and Audi's A8, the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan is more expensive; however, this 4-door is able to be as sophisticated as a Jaguar while being as sporty as a Porsche.

Maserati offers an array of safety features including 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution (EBD), stability and traction control, front and rear airbags, dual front side-mounted airbags, xenon high intensity headlights, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel independent suspension, and double wishbone suspension in the front and rear. Buyers of the Quattroporte Sport GT S Sedan may add the Skyhook suspension system, which adjusts the dampers to varying road conditions to ensure a much smoother ride.
