Though the Renault Clio Renault Sport Sedan began as a supermini vehicle, as the years go by it continues to grow and has almost grown out of its class. The vehicle was built on a platform that was designed in conjunction with Nissan and is shared with a number of other Nissan and Renault vehicles. Some major design changes have made the sedan more appealing to those looking for modern touches on their vehicles. With room for five passengers comfortably and considered one of the best in class when it comes to safety, it is easy to see why this sedan has garnered the attention of those wanting a smaller class of car.

From front to back the Renault Clio Renault Sport Sedan has received styling cues that appeal to the current generation. A redesign of the front and a change in the taillights give the sedan a more modern appearance than models in the past. Even the trims, and the benefits that they hold, have been changed to meet more current needs. Though a small car, the Clio is quite impressive from the outside looking in.

Most that think of supermini vehicles assume that it also means a significant lack of room in the cabin. With the Renault Clio Renault Sport Sedan that is far from the case. Four adults can fit comfortably and five can be squeezed in if necessary. The control panel is well laid out and easy to use and the overall styling inside the cabin is one of modern convenience. Though likely not the most refined interior available in a vehicle, the price would leave buyers expecting far less than what they receive. Overall the cabin is comfortable and classy with just the right touches.

Driving the Renault Clio Renault Sport Sedan is an experience in itself. It likely will not win any awards for speed due to its less powerful engine, but it is still fun to drive around town. It easily grips the highway and maintains the balance needed to take corners with little effort. The ride stays smooth for those inside the cabin and there is nothing lacking in the handling. The electronic steering will likely not be a fan favorite, but otherwise performance is far more than anticipated. The fact that the Clio is known to be among the safest cars on the road makes it even better to drive.

The Renault Clio Renault Sport Sedan isn't going to win any races with the engine choices available, but they do provide optimal performance and fuel economy. There are two diesels to choose from that give the best gas mileage. They are both 1.5 liters and offer 85 horsepower and 106 horsepower with the latter getting a six speed manual to boost performance capabilities. The five gasoline powered engines include two 1.6 liter VVTs with 108 horsepower and 126 horsepower, a 1.2 liter 73 horsepower, turbocharged 1.2 liter 98 horsepower and a 2.0 liter 197 horsepower on the sport. The Clio can achieve fuel economy of up to 60 mpg depending on the terrain, driving and engine selected.
