Among mid-size sedans, the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan offers a unique take on the traditional models seen from other car companies. Subaru has always been one to stick to its guns, and do what it knows best. With the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan that mind-set never changes based on review. Although, as of late, Subaru has been attempting to appeal to the mainstream audience more often. It's apparent with the Legacy in that Subaru increased the size of the body a few inches in every direction. Surely trying to compete with other mid-size sedans in its category, Subaru is looking to appeal to the family man with the 2012 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan.

Aside from the larger overall body of the vehicle, the 2012 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan remains largely unchanged from 2011 upon review. After undergoing a dramatic change last year, Subaru decided to make only minor changes in select areas. One change that didn't happen was under the hood. Instead of converting to the standard engines like other mid-size sedans have, Subaru continued on with their horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine in the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan. They also kept their hallmark all-wheel drive standard in each of the Legacy trims. While the all-wheel drive is nice to have in bad weather situations, it drastically reduces the fuel economy of the vehicle as a whole. As a result, you'll notice that the 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine only gets 18 mpg in the city, and 25 on the highway. With gas as high as it is today, we're not sure the trade-off is worth the long term cost review associated with the price of gas.

In terms of the interior review, the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan differs from the usual Subaru style seen in other models. Going after a different breed of buyer, Subaru offers a new sophisticated style on the inside. A silver metallic finish on hard plastic can be found throughout the interior. Although the plastic and style appears upscale, it may simply be too much for some buyers who prefer the usual Subaru look. Where the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan excels is in the cabin space. An improvement over past models, the 2012 Legacy is both comfortable in terms of seating and overall space. Reviews show it's able to seat up to five, there appears to be enough room to do just that. This fact should appeal to the family buyers who need the room, and still prefer the Subaru brand as a whole. With plenty of head and leg room, there won't be any complaints when it comes to space on the inside of the vehicle.

The Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan makes for a vehicle you can both rely on and trust according to our review. With it's continual high safety rating reviews, Subaru has managed to create a mid-size sedan that borders on the brink of luxury. Largely dependent on if you seek the all-wheel drive format, and need the space, the Subaru Legacy 3.6R Premium Sedan is a solid choice among all mid-size sedans.
