- The lefty's no-hitter was his second straight shutout and third of June, and he finished the month allowing only 19 hits in 44 innings.
- While pitching for the Houston Astros on June 18, 1972 Reuss had a no-hitter through eight innings against the Phillies before Larry Bowa doubled to lead off the top of the ninth, leaving Reuss with a complete game one-hit shutout.
- The Dodgers' 17 hits were the most for a team in a no-hitter before the Cubs rapped out 18 in support of Jake Arietta's no-hitter against the Reds on April 21, 2016 at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
