Trivia
Paul Schaal is the only pinch-hitter to hit the first inside-the-park home run in an active park's first game. Jered Weaver's 9-0 no-hitter against the Twins was the largest margin of victory in an Angels no-hitter. When Jim Fregosi singled in the bottom of the 11th to complete the first cycle in stadium history on May 20, 1968, he drove in the winning run and walked the game off. Tommie Agee stole the first two bases in Anaheim Stadium's history in the same at-bat, pilfering second, then third with Don Buford at bat in the top of the third inning. When Curt Blefary hit the stadium's first grand slam it was the third of three homers he hit that day and the only time Blefary hit three homers in a game in his eight-year career.Batting Event | First |
