Fill your theater or festival with top-flight artists who remember that performing is a privilege, and share their joy in every art form.
One of the earliest woman‐owned agencies
in the country, the business today is still an all‐women operation, true to the vision of company founder
Ethel Siegel. Begun in 1970 as “Elliot Siegel Music Management” in Washington DC, Ethel Siegel
managed the career of her husband Elliot, a violinist who served as the music contractor for the
Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, and for many pit orchestras for touring Broadway shows. Elliot was a
contemporary – and great friend – of Isaac Stern, and their first clients were musicians. She was the
long‐time manager of pianists Ana‐maria Vera and Brian Ganz, conductor Irwin Hoffman, and baritone
John Reardon (best known for his many television appearances on “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood”) and
many other soloists, chamber ensembles and conductors.
The company expanded with the addition of Jane Lawrence Curtiss as an artist representative in the
1975 and was renamed Siegel Artist Management in 1980. Liz Silverstein joined the company as an
artist representative in 1986; Jeanie Thompson was added to handle orchestras and special projects in
1988; and Elizabeth Paxon was hired as an artist representative (1995 – 1997). Jennifer Morris joined
the company in 1998.
After Ethel’s death in 1996, the company was restructured as Siegel Artist Management, LLC. Reflecting
the changing interests of the Siegel team, the company has served as North American representatives
for The Bach Choir of London, The Royal Ballet of Flanders, and Australia’s The Ten Tenors.
Today’s roster of artists reflects a cross‐section of the performing arts, including dance, music, youth
and family programs and “special events”.
