The Cincinnati Bengals aren't wasting any time bringing Joe Flacco up to speed after the trade and possibly starting him over Jake Browning in a few days against the Green Bay Packers .
That much was obvious with the Bengals getting Flacco in the door via trade on Tuesday, a day before the first practice of the week.
But ESPN's Adam Schefter added this note for good measure: " Bengals would like their new QB Joe Flacco to be ready to play Sunday at Green Bay vs. the Packers. The veteran Flacco is expected to be a quick learner."

Flacco is a well-known commodity at the age of 40 with droves of experience. He's got a few unique things going for him to help him succeed in this quick turnaround, too.
For one, Flacco already played the Packers this year back in Week 3 with the Browns. He already had a week of prep against this particular opponent, which is a rare bonus.
Flacco also happens to know a thing or two about the AFC North for obvious reasons. So, the Thursday night game against Pittsburgh the week after the game against the Packers will be familiar territory for him, too.
Simply put, the Bengals needed to get somebody in the door who could execute the offense at a higher level, even if it's as simple as seeing the right reads. Given his first encounter with the Packers already, he's uniquely ready to go against them again, which is a nice bonus on top of his decade-plus of starting experience and learning new systems quickly.
