Jett Peddy will have the keys to the Florida A&M football offense versus North Carolina Central.
Multiple sources close to the Rattlers football team told the Tallahassee Democrat that the transfer from Long Beach City College will start at quarterback for FAMU in the Week 7 game versus the NCCU Eagles .
Peddy replaces RJ Johnson III , who has started in the Rattlers' first four games of the season.
FAMU went 1-3 in those games and most recently fell 42-14 to Alabama State, dropping to 0-1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play after the Week 5 blowout.
Peddy will make his first appearance since Week 3, when he led FAMU to its first scoring drive in its 33-25 comeback victory against Albany State.
The Torrance, California native went nine for 14 for 99 yards, with an interception that game.
On the season, Peddy has completed 10 of 21 pass attempts and has 104 yards in two games against Florida Atlantic and Albany State.
FAMU versus NCCU kicks off at 3 p.m. on the Rattlers' Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium. The HBCU football matchup will be televised on HBCU GO and will also be on Tallahassee radio airwaves via 96.1 JAMZ.
