Travis Hunter will be away from the field, but his presence will still be felt at the Miller Electric Center.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without Hunter for the remainder of the season.
Hunter underwent surgery on a torn LCL (Lateral Collateral Ligament) that will take about six months to recover from. The team made the move on Tuesday, ahead of Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers .
Hunter was originally injured on Thursday, Oct. 30, in practice and was placed on injured reserve the next day .

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said Hunter's on-field loss will hurt , but his presence around the players should continue throughout the rest of the year.
"On the field, for obvious reasons, he'll be missed, he'll be missed. But also, off the field, he's got that presence, that confidence is infectious, right? Fortunately, we won't lose that," Coen said.
Hunter will remain in the building as he works his way back from the surgery, rehabbing his knee for the rest of the season.
"He's already back in town and he'll be able to get with these guys in the meetings and learning, studying and really diving into that as he goes through this process," said Coen.
Hunter has remained locked in with the team and their progress since getting injured ahead of the team's game against the Raiders. Coen gave an example of Hunter still being in-tune as early as last week after the team's win over the Raiders.
" Travis Hunter said to me, after Vegas, he said, in the training room, 'When we get in two-minute mode,' and he was obviously watching. He goes, 'When we get in two-minute mode, I believe we are going to go do something with it.' He's like, 'I believe that,'" Coen recalled.
Coen said Hunter will be evaluated at the end of the season and there won't be much to do about whether he will play on both sides of the ball until then.
"Right now, our complete focus is on the Chargers and getting a much-needed win on Sunday," said Coen.
Liam Coen mum on Travis Hunter's future position
Hunter entered his rookie season with the intent of playing both sides of the ball . The Jaguars dedicated their offseason and training camp to practicing Hunter at both cornerback and wide receiver.
Hunter finished the year with 28 catches for 298 yards and one touchdown. He started four games at corner, too, earning 15 tackles and three pass breakups.
The team's ultimate plan was to use Hunter extensively on both sides, upward of 80% on offense and defense. The team never got a chance to put that into practice, but the plan remained the same.
On Wednesday, Coen didn't want to discuss Hunter's future, ultimately letting what the team has done in the past stand in its place, while the future could remain uncertain.
"All that's very premature to answer at this point. You have a lot of confidence in the makeup, the person, the competitor, the athlete, the talent," Coen said.
"Like I said to him, so many players have gone through minor setbacks for major comebacks and that's been the complete message to him."
Hunter's expected time of return is around May 2026, when the team gets back together for voluntary offseason workouts and Organized Team Activities in the spring.
Whether he will play cornerback or receiver or both, remains to be seen.
