The Nebraska Cornhuskers' 30-27 loss was gut-wrenching for a team with Big Ten Championship Game hopes, a feeling that head coach Matt Rhule had a hard time shaking after the game.
The Cornhuskers have a week off and a relatively light schedule for the next few weeks as they continue to march toward what they hope will be a great season in Lincoln.
Following the game, head coach Matt Rhule did his best to recover. The former Carolina Panthers head coach had a message for his team as he did his best to look forward despite the myriad opportunities Nebraska left on the table in a losing effort.

Rhule Stunned by Michigan Loss
Rhule felt the sting of the loss as he addressed the media after the game.
"I feel like someone, you know, hit me with a hammer right now, I wanted to win the football game and I thought we would win the football game," he said.
"There's things that were exposed that have to be improved or we won't be the team that we want to be. There's other things that, I thought were excellent, you know, just going back methodically the same process," Rhule added.
The Nebraska coach said he watched the Georgia-Tennessee game and didn't think Tennessee's season was over or anything to that effect after the Volunteers' loss, imploring them to think the same way.
Seven Sacks Doom Huskers vs. Wolverines
Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola was sacked seven times in the loss giving Rhule a specific area to focus on next week.
The Huskers quarterback still managed to throw for over 300 yards with some of it coming on a Hail Mary before halftime.
Rhule and his team played well enough to win at times but ultimately left too many plays on the table.
The Huskers have a week off before taking on Michigan State on October 4 in a game that should be viewed a must-win, or something close to it, if Nebraska hopes to remain serious about its Big Ten Championship prospects going forward.
