🏈 WPXI : Former Steeler Alejandro Villanueva helped entertain U.S. troops stationed abroad with a flag football tournament.
Presented by USAA, the event took place on Wednesday at Naval Station Rota, which is the largest American military community in Spain. Sunday's Dolphins-Commanders game was the first-ever NFL regular season game in Spain.
Joining Villanueva were former NFL players Ryan Tannehill and Joe Theismann. They served as coaches and presented the winning team with tickets to the upcoming NFL game in Madrid.
Villanueva is a retired U.S. Army captain and lived in Spain as a child. His father served as operation commander at Naval Station Rota for the Spanish Navy.
"I'm very excited about the game, and the fact that it is happening here in this country," Villanueva said of the first-ever NFL game in Madrid. "A sport that was relatively not very known when I was growing up, and now to finally have (an NFL) game, it's an incredible opportunity for Spain to learn about the United States, and for the United States to learn a little about Spain."
Villanueva, Tannehill and Theismann also took a tour of the U.S. Navy destroyers station at the base.

🏈 Former Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke believes we will see more production from DK Metcalf with Mason Rudolph as quarterback.
"I think you'll start to see more of the traditional offense because Mason Rudolph can push the ball down the field. I think you'll see more production out of DK Metcalf as we saw in that second half where he had a lot of catches. You can really see this offense open up," Hoke said on KDKA's postgame show.
🏈 Chris Hoke believes Mason Rudolph can do well if given the keys to the car on offense.
"Listen, if Aaron Rodgers is healthy, he's going to play, but you're looking at Mason Rudolph and it's almost a situation where I start to wonder, it's almost like a Sam Darnold where all the of sudden, he clicks. If Mason Rudolph is given the opportunity and the keys to the car, will he run with this thing and do well? I believe if he is given the keys to the car and no leash, I think he can do well for the Steelers," Hoke said.
🏈 Roman Wilson played 53% of the snaps in two receiver sets on Sunday, compared to 20% by Calvin Austin , according to Matt Williamson of Steelers.com.
