After plenty of rumors, discussions and drama, Lane Kiffin is out of Ole Miss and is the new head coach of the LSU Tigers football program.
The Ole Miss Rebels defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 38-19, in the Egg Bowl on Friday. Then, the weekend was full of reports and drama involving Kiffin, Ole Miss and LSU.
Finally, Kiffin revealed his intentions to take the LSU job on Sunday, and he got on a plane to Baton Rouge shortly after.
Kiffin's name had been linked to the LSU opening ever since Brian Kelly was fired in October, and now it is finally a done deal.

On Monday, details of Kiffin's contract were released via Wilson Alexander of The Advocate.
"LSU and Lane Kiffin agreed to a seven-year, $91 million deal, according to a copy of his term sheet. If he wins a national title, it includes an automatic escalator that makes him the highest-paid coach in the country," Alexander posted on X.
Over the weekend, Mark Schlabach and Pete Thamel of ESPN reported that LSU was expected to pay Kiffin around $12 million annually, and this new number tops that expectation at $13 million per year.
According to USA Today , Georgia's Kirby Smart is the only coach making more than $13 million this season, with Ohio State 's Ryan Day at $12.5 million. Per that same report, Kiffin was earning $9 million annually at Ole Miss, so this is a massive pay raise for him.
Kiffin just put together an 11-win regular season at Ole Miss, with the Rebels almost guaranteed a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Now, he leaves for another SEC job and a huge pay raise as he will try and bring LSU back to the national title conversation.
