One NFL analyst predicts trouble in paradise for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers .
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have had a lot of success together in the NFL. However, they've also reportedly butted heads, and one NFL analyst believes that could continue in Pittsburgh.
"People want to pretend that Mike and Aaron, it wasn't that bad. It was bad," Cowherd said on The Colin Cowherd Podcast . "I had this really well sourced. They were like, 'Aaron couldn't stand Mike. It was awful.' Who are we kidding here? This idea that they were Kumbaya is just bull****."
If things between McCarthy and Rodgers was so bad, the four-time NFL MVP likely wouldn't have returned to play for the Steelers in 2026, but that is not what happened. Rodgers officially signed his one-year deal with the team before the start of OTAs on Monday.
This isn't to say McCarthy and Rodgers will agree on everything throughout the Steelers 2026 campaign, but they were able to put a lot to the side during their careers to have the success they did.
McCarthy and Rodgers have won 107 games together, including the playoffs, which currently ranks as the ninth-most wins by any head coach-starting quarterback duo in the Super Bowl Era. They also defeated the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

Only time will tell if the two can continue that success in Pittsburgh, however, they both have a track record of winning.
Last season, Rodgers was still able to lead the Steelers to an AFC North title while passing for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions at 42.
