We are getting closer and closer to the new EA Sports College Football 27 video game being released, and the past week has seen ratings and numbers come out for the top teams and top players in the game. The Oregon Ducks have been released as the No. 1 overall team on the platform , with the best defense and second-best offense in the game, while quarterback Dante Moore takes the crown as the No. 1-ranked passer, and Jamari Johnson is questionably ranked as the No. 3 TE in the game.
As we move to the defensive side of the ball, though, it's nice to see a few more names pop up for Oregon, particularly in the secondary.
The former freshman phenom cornerback, Brandon Finney Jr. , is starting to turn into a household name ahead of his sophomore season. Finney is rated as a 91 overall and the No. 4 CB in the nation. Meanwhile, Minnesota safety transfer Koi Perich , who will take over in the deep secondary for the Ducks , is rated as a 93 overall and the No. 3 safety in the game.
When you stack this secondary next to the defensive line, which has four players inside the top 10 at their position, it's easy to see why Oregon's defense is ranked as the single best in the game.
Early release for the game starts on July 2 for MVP+ members, and the deluxe edition of the game will be available for download on July 6. The game will officially be released worldwide on July 9.
