The Cleveland Browns introduced their new head coach, and he spoke to the media for the first time on Tuesday. In previous videos posted on the team's social media, Todd Monken discussed how badly he wanted to be an NFL head coach and how excited he was about this opportunity with Cleveland.
He started his presser talking about how jacked up and excited he is to be here, and you could just see in his face and his words how much he truly wanted this opportunity to lead an NFL franchise. In fact, he got emotional a couple of times and had to collect himself and even said "[expletive], told myself I wasn't gonna cry for God's sakes."
Saying things in a press conference and being grateful for a job isn't going to win games, but it was cool to see how excited he is to get things rolling for the Browns . Next up for Monken is figuring out who will lead his defense and if it will be Jim Schwartz or someone else.
