James Hagens is officially on a point streak.
With several members of the Bruins front office in attendance, the recently-signed forward picked up his first career assist in the Providence Bruins' 4-2 loss to the Springfield Thunderbirds on Sunday.
Hagens turned pro on Monday after his college career ended on Friday night. He signed an amateur tryout agreement. Beginning his career on an ATO, allows Boston's top prospect and No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft, to play in the AHL without burning a year of his rookie contract.
Hagens had his first career goal on Saturday vs. Bridgeport in his second professional game. His assist on Sunday set up Georgii Merkulov for the final goal of the game.
Providence is on a Central New York trip this week with games at Utica on Wednesday, Syracuse on Friday and Rochester on Saturday.
