The Bruins’ seven-game winning streak came to a loud end in Texas.

Boston was overmatched in Dallas as they fell 6-2 to the Stars on Tuesday.

The lone positive for Boston came long after the game was out of reach as Morgan Geekie ’s 12-game streak without a goal ended on the power play with 7:49 left in the third.

The Bruins will try to bounce back against Vegas at home on Thursday.

Jeremy Swayman made some terrific stops early, but Wyatt Johnston , who scores on everybody, added the Bruins goalie to his list of victims late in the first. His 26th goal of the season crossed the goal line before Swayman could recover with 3:52 left to make it 1-0.

Mavrik Bourque doubled that edge to 2-0 on another power play with 13 seconds left.

The Stars added two more in the second, including another in the final minute to put Boston behind 4-0.

The hole reached 6-0 quickly for the Bruins in the third period as Jason Robertson scored two goals back-to-back, ending Swayman’s night early. He finished with 28 saves.

Joonas Korpisalo made three stops in the final 13:23.

Fraser Minten added another late goal for Boston.
