The Chicago Bulls selected Caleb Wilson with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to help usher in a new era for the franchise. While the rookie understands the enormous expectations that come with wearing a Bulls uniform, he is not shying away from setting lofty goals .
In a recent interview with Marc J. Spears of Andscape, Wilson was asked about Michael Jordan and his aspirations with the franchise synonymous with the six-time NBA champion.

Wilson's comments reflect confidence more than comparison. Jordan is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, making Wilson's response an acknowledgment of the standard he hopes to chase rather than a prediction of what he expects to accomplish.

The rookie has displayed that same mindset since arriving in Chicago. During his introductory news conference after the draft, Wilson made it clear he has high expectations for his first professional season.
"I expect to [win] Rookie of the Year, honestly," Wilson said at his Bulls introductory news conference. "I'm going to work hard. I'm going to do what it takes. I feel like this team is really good for me for how I envision to play. And I know I'm a hard worker. So, whatever I need to fix and work on before the season and throughout the season, I'm going to work on it and be a great player."
Wilson joins a Bulls organization entering a new chapter under head coach Tiago Splitter and executive Bryson Graham following a series of major offseason changes. Chicago is hoping its revamped leadership group and young core can lay the foundation for long-term success after missing the playoffs last season.
Wilson will have an early opportunity to showcase his talent during NBA Summer League before turning his attention to training camp. While surpassing Jordan's legacy remains one of the most ambitious goals imaginable, the rookie has made it clear he intends to chase greatness rather than place limits on what he can achieve.
