South Carolina women's basketball star Chloe Kitts marked a major religious milestone over the weekend.
On Sunday, Kitts posted several images, suggesting she may have been baptized. In the image, she is seen inside a pool with a man who is helping her complete the ceremony of baptism.
She captioned the post with the words:
"the way, the truth, the life."
This phrase is from the Bible verse John 14:6.
Kitts' public expression of faith saw immense support from her fans, families and fellow teammates. This includes a response from Johnson, who wrote:
"AMENNNNNN 💞💞💞❤️❤️❤️"
Virginia's women's basketball player Kymora Johnson commented:
"love this Chlo"

The post also features more photos from the baptism ceremony.
Three days ago, Chloe Kitts returned to the gym to practice hoops. She also shared a photo in which biblical words were printed:
"Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."
"back doin what i love ☺️" she captioned the post.
South Carolina received some good news last month following their heartbreak in the national championship game against the UCLA Bruins.
Head coach Dawn Staley has been working hard to fill the South Carolina roster with great talent. Her recruiting resulted in the commitment from Oliviyah Edwards. She signed with the Gamecocks on April 27. Edwards is a 6-foot-3 forward, a five-star recruit and is ranked No. 3 nationally in the Class of 2026 by ESPN.
She leads Staley's recruitment returns in the Class of 2026, also including guard Jerzy Robinson (ranked No. 6), forward Kaeli Wynn (ranked No. 19), four-star forward Kelsi Andrews (ranked No. 30) and international prospect Justine Loubens (France).
Due to these latest additions, South Carolina's roster ranked first in ESPN's and The Athletic's updated way-too-early Top 25 team rankings.
Last month, during USC's Gamecock Gala, Kitts spoke excitedly about these additions.
"Our team is stacked," Kitts said . "We're gonna be really big, so it's gonna be exciting. Coach can throw a whole bunch of different people out there, different lineups. So I'm super excited."
She also added the following from Edwards' visit to South Carolina:
"We had some conversations when she was here. She really wants to learn from me and Ashlyn. So we're going to be very helpful for her."
Edwards, who visited South Carolina in March, will join Kitts, Ashlyn Watkins, Joyce Edwards, Alicia Tournebize, Adhel Tac, Wynn, and Andrews in the forward position.
