“The news is heartbreaking for the player he is, the guy he is. Praying for Bo,” Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said after New England’s win over the Houston Texans to earn a trip to the AFCCG. “I know he’ll bounce back. He’s a great player in this league. I look forward to matching up with him. We had one in college and he got the best of me.”
Despite being down their quarterback and turning to former Patriots signal caller Jarrett Stidham , Maye didn’t discount the Broncos .
“They got a good team,” he said. “It should be a tough one next week.”
The Patriots and Broncos haven’t played one another since 2023.
