A former Georgia wide receiver is heading to the transfer portal again. Purdue Boilermakers wide receiver Nitro Tuggle , who transferred from UGA in March 2025, plans to enter the transfer portal for the second straight year, according to Pete Nakos of On3 .
Tuggle started his career with the Georgia Bulldogs as a four-star recruit in the class of 2024. Tuggle was the No. 20 wide receiver and No. 102 player in the nation, along with the No. 2 player from Indiana . However, he played sparingly in his freshman season with Georgia. He had just 34 yards in three receptions in eight games in the 2024 season. He also was involved in a major off-the-field controversy in the spring of 2025.
As a result, Tuggle entered the transfer portal during the spring window and the Purdue Boilermakers gave him a sense of continuity. He returned to his home state of Indiana in the same receiving core as former Georgia wide receiver De'Nylon Morrissette. Tuggle developed, racking up 500 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 34 receptions, including a career-high 80 yards on five receptions against No. 2 Indiana.
However, Tuggle will be moving on from Purdue as well. Indiana is a decent team to watch for Tuggle. They'll more than likely lose top wide receiver Elijah Sarratt to the draft and quality wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. could declare as well.
Georgia has seen five players enter the transfer portal so far. Defensive backs Daniel Harris and Jaden Harris, defensive lineman Jordan Thomas , tight end Pearce Spurlin III, and running back Roderick Robinson are in the portal, and dismissed offensive lineman Nyjer Daniels is transferring as well.
