As the Pittsburgh Steelers gear up for a busy offseason, one of their former quarterbacks has found his first NFL coaching job.
According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz , the Buffalo Bills have hired former Steelers quarterback Trace McSorley as an offensive assistant.
Selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 197th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, McSorley appeared in just three games during his first three seasons. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals off the Ravens' practice squad in 2021 and appeared in six games, including one start, in 2022.
McSorley closed out his NFL career with the New England Patriots , Chicago Bears , Pittsburgh Steelers , and Washington Commanders from 2023–2024.
He was hired in February 2025 to become Penn State's assistant quarterbacks coach and was retained for 2026 before his decision to join the Bills coaching staff.
