- Kansas State football CB Amarion Fortenberry to enter transfer portal
MANHATTAN — A second member of Kansas State football's secondary will reportedly enter the transfer portal following the announcement of Chris Klieman's retirement.
Amarion Fortenberry will enter the portal, ESPN's Max Olson reported on Thursday, Dec. 4. He follows starting safety Qua Moss , who was a reported portal entry earlier in the day.
Klieman announced his retirement on Wednesday, Dec. 3, after seven seasons with the Wildcats. Cornerbacks coach Van Malone posted on X on Thursday that he had been fired.
Fortenberry started for the Wildcats in their last three games of the season, while coming off the bench in all other games. He was among the lowest-graded corners on the team, according to Pro Football Focus.
Fortenberry played one season for the Wildcats after transferring from South Alabama. He finished the season with 13 total tackles and a pair of pass breakups.
