Travis Kelce is not hiding his frustration after the Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The veteran tight end admitted he needs to be better for his teammates following a 28-24 defeat that cost Kansas City first place in the AFC West. This was not a quiet locker room. According to Yahoo Sports , Kelce displayed some emotion and grew slightly heated while discussing the team's recurring mistakes with reporters.
The Chiefs had a chance to win on the final play. Right tackle Jaylon Moore committed a costly false start penalty that moved the team back five yards. Patrick Mahomes was then sacked to seal the loss. The team was penalized 11 times for 105 yards. These procedural mistakes have been piling up for weeks, and Kelce says he is part of the problem.

Own The Mirror
He told reporters that the mistakes start with the person you are looking at in the mirror. "I'm one of them," Kelce said, according to Fox News . He noted that he has been frustrated with himself regarding the procedural stuff that has happened for the past three games, really since the bye.
He did not sugarcoat the language he used to describe the error. "You just can't f—ing do it," he added, per People.com . That level of raw emotion shows how much this loss stings. He knows that as a veteran, his attitude sets the tone for the whole room. If he is not fixing the basics, no one else will either.
More Than Just Words
Kelce finished the game with five catches for 67 yards. He did not score a touchdown. The team blew an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. Denver scored 15 unanswered points to take the win. Kelce is now working to fix the team's fourth‑quarter collapse.

He said the team has a lot of fight. "We got a lot of fight," he said, via The Athletic as reported by People.com. But fight alone does not stop a false start penalty. Kelce said they need to fix a lot. The team cannot dwell on the loss or the bad calls. They have to look at what they did wrong and change it.
Next Step Is The Jets
On Sunday, Nov. 8, the Chiefs will attempt to improve their performance when hosting the New York Jets. They are now 5-2 and sitting behind the 6-2 Broncos in the division. Fox News reported that Kelce stated everyone simply needs to raise the stakes from that point.
If the procedural errors continue, the season could slip away fast. Kelce knows this better than anyone. He has been in the league a long time. He knows that being a leader means taking the blame when things go wrong. As he grew slightly heated and displayed some emotion, he admitted he was "frustrated". Now he has to turn that frustration into better play on the field.
