FOXBOROUGH - The early forecast for Sunday’s Patriots-Bills showdown calls for light snow, 1-to-3 inches, leading into the game.
Kyle Williams ’ eyes lit up when he heard the news.
The Patriots rookie receiver hasn’t had much opportunity to play in a potential snow game.
“I’ve played in light snow, but nothing where you could see it on the ground,” Williams said Friday. “But that would be cool. I’d love to make a snow angel if I get in the end zone.”
Williams also anticipates the footing might be “a little tricky” so he’ll ask his more experienced teammates about the best cleats for the occasion.
But he didn’t seem too concerned.
“I think it’s just going to be fun,” Williams said. “It might be a problem for some people, but living in it, I should have a slight advantage, but I don’t know. We’re going to find out.”
DeMario Douglas remembered playing in the snow in blizzard-like conditions against the Jets during the 2023 regular season finale. That wasn’t much fun. The Patriots lost that slip-and-slide game.
But Douglas had the same idea as Williams.
“I think we might have a little snow on the ground (for the Bills game),” Douglas said, “and that’ll be good for me to do a snow angel after a score a touchdown. I’d love to be able to do that.”
