The Seattle Mariners will be without their lefty for a few games, as Gabe Speier was suspended for his actions against the Detroit Tigers , according to Chris McCosky of the Detroit News.
"Seattle lefty Gabe Speier has been suspended by MLB for three games for throwing at Gleyber Torres Wednesday night. Manager Dan Wilson suspended for one game," McCosky wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Speier was ejected in the eighth inning of the game after hitting Torres. Benches and bullpens cleared, but there were no punches thrown while the teams came together.

Speier had almost hit Torres on a 95.9 mph pitch that was way inside before actually hitting him on the leg with a 96.3 mph fastball.
The Mariners face the Tigers today in their series finale, and play the Tampa Bay Rays in the next two games. They're currently 56-59 and are in third place in the AL West. With how tight the standings are in the division, the Mariners could find themselves at the top if they manage to go on a run during this stretch of the season.
At the same time, if they go on a losing streak, they could fall out of the competition, putting themselves in a tough position to make a postseason run.
Losing Speier for the next three games shouldn't put too much pressure on them, but they do want to have everybody available at this time of the season. The good news is that Speier isn't injured, and after these three games, he'll be able to return to the field.
